Essay on radio communication

In the twentieth century, there have been many scientific inventions one after the other. Radio was invented at the very beginning of this century  in 1601, which at that time was considered a great, pastoral invention. Even though radio has become so much familiar to people today that people do not see any novelty or miracle in it, but if one looks a little carefully and looks at the various uses of radio, then such an experience starts to happen. That radio is nothing less than magic.

Earlier communications were sent by wire. Electricity passed through the wire. The speed of lightning is 186000 miles per second. Due to this speed of electricity, the connections by the wire used to reach thousands of miles away in a few seconds. But wiring thousands of miles away and maintaining it in proper condition was no less difficult task.

Due to storms or disturbances of mischievous people, wires used to get broken or cut and in that case it was not possible to send communication by wire. It came to the mind of the scientists that there should be some way by which the waves of electricity can be sent from one place to another without the wire. In this regard, Dr. Jagdish Chandra Vasu and Marconi of Italy conducted many experiments.

Jaideep Chandra Vasu, in the presence of the Governor of Bengal in 1856, demonstrated by radio waves the release of a firecracker and the ringing of a bell. In both these tests, electric waves were sent from one place to another without a wire. But the credit for the invention of radio is given to Marconi. 1601 He spread the news of his invention to the whole world by sending news from England to New Zealand by radio.

The invention of radio also brought many new facilities. Earlier, ships and planes could not send sambadas to them. If the ships had to send any message to the port, they used the wires laid in the sea. These wires are lying at the bottom of the sea. In the middle of the water, you have been given drums closed from all sides, which are related to the stars below. Jahan used to reach these dolas and send sambad to the port by cable.

But if the ship starts sinking suddenly, or if it is attacked by an enemy poison and it does not reach near the line of the cable, then he could not send the ship. But after the invention of radio, radio devices have been installed in all ships and all aircraft, so that they maintain their constant contact with the land. Contact is maintained not only with the land,

but also with other ships moving in the sea. With this, aid can now be sent to planes and ships in times of crisis. Although initially the radio was invented for communication, but gradually it was used for other purposes. Radio broadcasting centers have been established in almost all the countries, and programs and news of sweet music, interesting dramas etc. are broadcast from those centers.

Arbitrary publicity can also be done by radio. Interesting programs are broadcast so that in their greed, people keep radio in their house and can also listen to government propaganda from time to time. The importance of radio had increased even more during the war period. Not only did the Allies and Axis countries try to humiliate each other from the point of view of propaganda,

but radio was also used to send communication between the armies. Enemy spies used to send important news to their countries through their small broadcasting devices. Submarines, ships and bomber aircraft received orders from their headquarters over the radio and whatever information they wanted to send to the headquarters was also sent by radio.

By the end of the war, Germany had developed radio-controlled flying bombs. These were the Udanavam B-1 and V-2 rockets, which had a range of 300 or 400 miles. They were controlled by radio and their direction could also be indicated by radio. These rockets have been greatly improved after the end of World War II, and Russia and the US have developed radio-controlled missiles that can hit their targets thousands of miles away.

The radio-control work was also very important in the fake satellites that Russia and America have left to revolve around the land. The direction of the rockets by which these satellites were carried was controlled by radio stations. Radio does its work due to ether waves. Ether is a subtle substance, which pervades the whole universe. But like the air filled in the room, it is not visible to us and we are not able to feel it.

Waves can be picked up in the ether by electricity. When such waves are picked up, they spread to the whole world and those waves can be received by radio-acoustic devices in any part of the world. Radio-sound-transmitting devices generate waves in the ether by electricity and radio-acoustic devices placed in any part of the world can receive those waves.

That’s why we can listen to radio stations of Moscow, London and New York while sitting in Delhi. An important use of these radio waves is as radar. Radar device was invented during the Second World War. With the help of Radar Mantra, we can also detect objects hundreds of miles away that are not visible to the eyes, know their distance and direction.

In war, radar was used to know the direction and distance of enemy aircraft. Radar device works only by radio waves. Radio has changed a lot in our daily life. Earlier the only means of entertainment for the common citizen was cinema; But now another new instrument has been found by radio, which is cheaper than cinema.

Through the radio, we can listen to the music of the best musicians, poet-sammelans, plays etc. from the comfort of our homes. Radio is not only a means of entertainment, but also a great source of knowledge. News of all the important events happening in the world are heard on the radio several times a day.

Radio has proved the newspapers a lot otherwise, because after listening to the news on the radio, the desire to read the newspaper remains the same people in Kerala, who want to read each event in full detail. Not only this, keeping in mind the interest and need of almost all the fields, the things of his work are told on the radio.

Market prices for traders, weather conditions for farmers, household chores for women, and separate programs for children are broadcast. Apart from these, the radio department in India is in the hands of the government and individual people do not have the facility or right of voice broadcasting.

At present, 25 sound broadcasting centers are functioning in the country like Delhi, Madras, Calcutta, Bombay, Lucknow, Nagpur etc. All these are controlled from the All India Radio office in Delhi. Radio is not yet promoted in our country as much as it should, or it could be. This is because radio equipment is expensive and the license fee is also high. As the prosperity of the country increases, people will buy more and more radios.

The Prajakal government is also making arrangements to have radio equipment in the villages. If every village has a single radio, then all the villagers can listen to the latest news and know other things of knowledge. Till now only sound could be heard on the radio, but the nature of the persons speaking could not be seen.

But now radio has made another progress in the form of television. In television, not only the voice can be heard, but the picture of those who speak or act is also visible. The use of television is going to start in India soon. With television, people will be able to enjoy cinema sitting at home and many educational programs can also be broadcast on television for knowledge enhancement. In the two hundred years of slavery, our culture had become very blurred and lost.

Talks of qualified scholars on important topics are broadcast, from which everyone can benefit. For those who find reading a book a burden, radio is a very easy way to increase knowledge. The radio station was created in India in 1927. In India, the radio department is in the hands of the government and individual people do not have the facility or the right of voice broadcasting.

It was difficult for the people to collect food and clothes, whose attention goes towards art and culture, but after independence, along with the prosperity of the country, the interest of art is increasing among the people. Along with the theaters and the cinema, radio is also playing a very important part in improving this interest. From the point of view of the medium of teaching and from the point of view of the development of a new culture, radio will have an important contribution in building a new India.
