Step 1: To change the address in the Aadhar card, go to the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) website https://uidai.gov.in/ and then click on Aadhaar Online Services
Step 2: Now you will get the option of Update Aadhaar, just click on Update Your Address Online at the bottom.
Step 3: On clicking Update Your Address Online, a new page of Aadhar Self Service Update Portal will open. Click on the Proceed To Update Address option below Update Your Address Online.
Step 4: Now enter the 12 digit Aadhar number of the Aadhar card whose address you want to update in the Enter Aadhar Number box. Enter the Captcha Code and click on Send OTP.
Step 5: Now an OTP will come on your register number, login by entering it in the box with Enter OTP.
Step 6: In the next step click on Update Address Via Address Proof.
Step 7: In this step, you have to fill your new address where you want to update the address properly. After filling all the details, you click on Preview, if the details filled by you are correct then tick on (I Confirm) and click on Proceed.
After this you will be asked to upload your data such as ration card, passport, bank passbook, bank statement, post office account passbook, voter card etc. Upload any one of these IDs and click on the submit button.
After submitting, you will get an Update Request Number, with the help of which you will be able to download and print the copy of the request.
After a few days of submitting the request, your new address will be updated and you will get a notification on your e-mail or mobile number. You can get the status information by Update Request Number (URN) number by clicking on Check Aadhar Update Status.
